Lemon (Citrus limoni) essential oil benefits
A zesty and energizing essential oil ideal for sanitizing rooms and surfaces. Supports digestion, helps with colds and stimulates the lymphatic system. Lemon essential oil can obtained by:
- cold pressing of the rind = photo-toxic, best aroma, purest chemical profile
- steam distillation of the rind = non photo-toxic, slightly weaker aroma

HOW TO USE
As ambient disinfectant and energizer burn 2-5 drops every 5 hours.
To stimulate the lymphatic system: add 3-5 drops to lukewarm water and soak feet (this will soothe tired and swollen feet after a long day standing or a long flight). to improve circulation and fluid retention, counteract discomfort of varicose veins use 2-3 drops of Lemon every 5 ml of carrier oil and massage (ideal lymphatic drainage except if varicose veins, which requires soft pressure)
Avoid sun exposure for 12 hours (if skin application of cold press Lemon essential oil - steam distilled Lemon essential oil is ok as not phototoxic ). Do not apply undiluted to children. Do not take internally unless heavily diluted. Do not use it in the bath or in combination with hot water as it may irritate the skin. If ingested accidentally undiluted Lemon essential oil, drink olive oil (1-2 teaspoons) or milk.
