Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus smithii) essential oil benefits

Eucalyptus smithii is the mildest of the eucalyptus oils and is used with children and, elderly and fragile people.

It is a gentle antiseptic; it aids the respiratory system by opening the airways and clearing mucus. It is a gentle relief for stiff joints and muscle aches.

Eucalyptus smithii is well tolerated on the skin.

Method of Extraction: Steam distillation from the leaves

Origin: Australia

Color: Clear

Aroma: Fresh, herbaceous, camphoraceous

Blends well with:  Lavender, Lavender Spike, Myrrh, For, Cedarwood, Chamomile, Cypress, Lemon,  Peppermint, Pine, Rosemary

Therapeutic properties: Analgesic, antibacterial, antifungal, antineuralgic, antirheumatic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, decongestant, deodorant, depurative, diuretic, expectorant, febrifuge, stimulant,

HOW TO USE

 
To support the respiratory system and clear blocked sinuses,  burn 2-5 drops every 5 hours. For children 1-2 drops.

 
Dilute 3-5 drops max every 5 ml of carrier tea ease aches and pains.

 
For a chest rub for children and elderly,  dilute 0.5 to 1% to a cream or balm base
