Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) essential oil benefits

Pepper is one of the oldest spices and it originates in India. The essential oil is obtained by picking the berries, drying them in the sun and the distilled. 

Black Pepper is a great resource to help in reducing muscle tension, pain associated with aging joints and the perception of pain after a hard workout or when recovering from musculoskeletal injuries. It also supports healthy digestion, especially when feeling bloated.

Its hot and spicy aroma created a warm and energising atmosphere perfect to energise and revive.

Black Pepper is considered an aphrodisiac, especially when blended with Jasmine, Sandalwood, Ylag-Ylang

GENERAL INFORMATION

Botanical Name: Piper nigrum

Method of Extraction: Steam distillation of the dried unripe fruits

Color: Clear

Aroma: woody, warm, spicy

Note: Middle

Blends well with:  Ylang-ylang, Myrrh, JasmineBergamot, Copaiba Balsam, Cypress, Frankincense, Geranium, Juniper Berry, Rose Absolute, Rosemary Cineole, Sandalwood, Vetiver

Therapeutic properties: Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, rubefacient, tonic, stimulant

Safety:  Do not use with children and while pregnant 

HOW TO USE

Add 3-5 drops to 5 ml of carrier or lotion or balm base and rub before exercise or as pain relief, and to help before stretching over tired muscles. Can be used to fight stomach bloating. 

 

Add 3-5 drops to a massage limbs oil to support healthy circulation, especially during cold months.

Use in low concentration and do not use on the face. Black Pepper is a skin irritant and can make it dry. Not for internal intake. Not suitable for children and during pregnancy.
