Spearmint (Mentha spicata) essential oil benefits

Spearmint is considered a mild form of Peppermint for its gentle refreshing and energizing aroma. Help the digestive system and can relieve nausea and travel sickness.  Spearmint essential oil has a similar chemical structure of Peppermint essential oil but is far gentler due to the very low content of menthol; however, Spearmint has higher ketones than Pepermint.

It is suitable during pregnancy and with children. Spearmint balances the digestive system and relieves flatulence, constipation, vomiting, and nausea (morning or travel sickness). It gently relieves cough, bronchitis, and asthma. In the case of itching or insect bites Spearmint is very effective without being aggressive on the skin. Thanks to its uplifting and refreshing aroma, it is a great stimulant on the mind.
