Eco-chic beauty

Native Essentials goes beyond using premium clean ingredients and powerful last generation natural active ingredients. Our products are sustainable from the sourcing, testing of our ingredients to the formulation of the products, to its packaging.

Native Essentials products are made in Thailand by an Ecocert Certified Lab. Ecocert guarantees and highlights the best environmentally friendly and socially conscious practices.

This certification also ensures that the production or ingredients do not include:

  • Parabens, silicone or other controversial ingredients
  • GMO ingredients
  • Animal testing
  • Synthetic colors or fragrances

We work only with sustainable, ethical sources, and most of our ingredients are certified organic and are fully tested. Whenever possible we source locally and our active ingredients are ECOCERT, COSMOS, SOIL ASSOCIATION and ACO certified. The result? Products that deliver pure potency – and zero synthetics.

Native Essentials works with the purest botanical ingredients which are 100% natural. We use plant-based sources and work with certified cruelty-free suppliers and lab.

We are not present in markets with mandatory animal testing for skincare.

We believe in clean, organic skincare that works with your skin by stimulating it to protect and regenerate itself naturally. This can only happen with formulas that use 100% plant-based ingredients.

We call our ingredients supercharged as we take from nature the best plant extracts.

We don’t use endangered plants

Every year CITES publishes a list of endangered flora and fauna. Sadly the list gets longer and longer every year. At Native Essentials, we never purchase endangered plant extracts like Rosewood, Russian Ginseng, Baobab from Madagascar, Himalayan Spikenard, or Indian Agarwood,... because the safeguard of biodiversity is our priority.

We use less water

Many botanicals used in the cosmetic industry require intensive cultivation and lots of water.

On the other hand, the cultivation of aromatic plants can be very attractive to farmers because of its high profitability. However, the increase in the cultivation of non-food crops can actually have a negative impact on communities that relied for generations on food self-sufficiency.

At Native Essentials, we formulate our products with very low dilutions of essential oils and use the distillation water that was produced when extracting essential oils (hydrosols).

Our jars and bottles are made of clear glass, which is the easiest color type of glass to recycle and also the least water-consuming (in fact dark glass bottles can’t be recycled as they contain a high concentration of lead!). All bottles and jars are reusable.

The plastic pumps, the lids and sample testers are made 100% recyclable plastic (#5 polypropylene). To recycle it, all you need to do is to separate the bits, which are really easy on our packaging.

The droppers are made of silicone, which means it has a lower chance of leaching chemicals. Also, when burned, silicone reverts back into its harmless ingredients: amorphous silica, carbon dioxide, and water vapor.
