DIY Face Mask ideas with Oatmeal, gentle multi-task ingredient

Oatmeal is a fantastic skin care ingredient for facial masks and ideal for DIY formulations. We love it because it is gentle yet packed with nutrients, Vitamins, and Minerals. It contains:

Selenium – Powerful antioxidant. Fights free radicals that cause skin aging. Protects skin against sun damage. Helps maintain skin firmness and elasticity.

Zinc –  the best option for blemished skin. The oil control action of zinc helps prevent acne breakouts. Zinc also regulates the hormone imbalance that causes acne.

Vitamins – Oatmeal contains  B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, and folate. B vitamins are necessary for skin regeneration and repair.

Polysaccharides – Lubricate dry flaky skin

An Oatmeal facial mask is a very affordable and easy-to-find ingredient perfect to pamper your skin at home. It is one of the most soothing ingredients;  it relieves irritated and itchy skin and is tolerated even by the most sensitive skin. Naturally absorbent, Oatmeal balances sebum production, minimizesacne breakouts and the formation of whiteheads andblackheads.

Use it as the base ingredient and mix it with as many ingredients as you like.

Colloidal oatmeal is a form of oats used in skincare products produced by finely grinding oats and boiling them (usually 1/2 cup water and 1/3 cup oatmeal), making it into a colloid. Uncooked finely ground Oatmeal can be used as an exfoliant.
